So I walked into my bedroom, where my baby was quietly moaning and grumbling in his crib, next to my hubby, who had crashed on the bed, obviously exhausted from his time minding him. I had just spent a long time working to develop my organisation’s fundraising plan, and was ready for a little rest.
However, on seeing me, Baby Jay turned up the volume and added some flair to his dramatic plea for attention. I sighed and smiled at the two of them. Hubby turned and looked at me and smiled. He picked up Baby and told him to leave me alone, that he gets first dibs on me. Well, something like that.
I laughed and turned to both of them. “What about me? What about what Mommy wants???”
So Hubby asked, “what do you want?”
“I want a nice hot cup of tea and a warm muffin, and some alone time to sit and watch a nice girly movie” I almost shouted!
It really is a basic request isn’t it? They say “a girl can dream…” And I say, “a woman can do!” Where there’s a will there’s a way. Some quality me time will definitely do good for the family.
So, I’m hoping to get that muffin break this weekend! Wish me luck š

Good luck…..
Although you might want to order you a muffin from one of the bake places around and take a quick (girly movie) time out in the guest room, after sorting out the minding situation.
But good luck though!
