The Spotlight: On Knowing, Following And Trusting God

Hi Dear Readers,

I hope you enjoyed the three posts I shared with you last week!  If you missed them, you can click on the category The Spotlight, to read them all.

This week’s posts deal with our relationship with God; knowing, following and trusting His leadership.  Josey wrote about how God doesn’t move at our pace, and may not take the shortest or fastest route, but He is a reliable leader.  IMJUSTAFOLLOWER countered the common expression to follow one’s heart, showing the importance of knowing and following God’s heart instead.  The Duchess showed us, through her testimony, the importance of letting go and letting God, which is a true test of whether or not we trust Him or not.

Please read and be blessed, and be kind to share and drop a comment for the authours!

1. SLOW YET STEADY by Joseyphina

We read and hear stories of people of old who walked with God. They lived and died and God still lives on. How old is God anyway? Answer: ageless! Before the world came into existence, He was and He is now and He will be tomorrow. But if we to construct a time frame with our finite minds, we would picture God as an old man. No wonder, some people refer to Him as the ‘Old ManUpstairs.’

2. FOLLOW THE HEART by IMJUSTAFOLLOWER

We’ve all heard the idiom, “Follow your heart.” When it came to making a decision about a job, a financial decision, hobby, or even when it came to picking a lifetime partner.

But what if I told you that the the heart may not be the best instrument to use when making decisions?

3. PART III: THE ULTIMATE TEST OF TRUST by The Dutchess

I should probably mention that am a spiritual person, so i attribute all of my wins and losses to God.

After the Excitement of receiving two amazing opportunities with the possibility of travelling to New York with one, i had to come back from could 9 and actually start my processing my US visa. This is when my ultimate test of trust started, it was one thing to say that i trusted God with every aspect of my life and that everything would work out for my good, but did i actually trust Him?
