I will be writing this series as a way of carrying out a final detox of my spirit from the influence of the Jesus Christians in my life. This is not about exposing them, but about exposing a spirit that has been hindering my spiritual growth in Christ. […]
Hold up!!! I’m about to do Church up in here!!!! PRAISE JESUSSS!!!! PRAISE THE LORD!!!!! Mehn, you can’t understand what I am feeling right now! My mind is blowing up! I know it’s no big deal to a lot of you, and you may not even understand, but […]
Happy Sunday to you all! I am happy and excited to share this interview I did with Woman.ng, which they published today on their website. I hope it inspires and encourages you to get The Church Girl, if you have not, or to tell someone about the book, […]
Hey, y’all. It’s been a long hiatus from The Spotlight, but I had to put it on the back burner last month. I was overwhelmed, and I am still quite overwhelmed with much that I am doing to push my first book out into the world. Please bear […]
It’s been a long time coming, but after nine months, I’ve finally birthed my baby – The Church Girl! My first published book in eBook and paperback. The eBook has been widely available since May this year, but by God’s grace, I was able to print my first […]
Notoriously known as the ‘Kidney Cult’, the Jesus Christians was a group that I lived with for about three and a half years of my life. During that time (2002-2005), these were the beliefs, teachings and practices of the community. Though I can’t list everything they believe about everything…I […]
The time has come for me to publicly share about my time and experience with the Christian Sect known as the ‘Jesus Christians’. I’ve always wondered about how I would write about my experience. I didn’t want to be overly emotional when talking about them, but I also […]
This post has been a long time coming… It has been in my drafts for a few months, and I saw it earlier this week and said I must get around to writing it asap. I also find it particularly relevant to something I’ve been going through. So, […]
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths” (Prov 3:5). Our walk of faith requires that we must always trust in God (that means we believe Him). You will […]
“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, […]
“Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you” (John 15:16). If the last […]
“If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When […]
Are you restless yet? Don’t be. Living dependent on God’s grace can be trying for one’s humanity and patience! We like to do! We like to prove. We like to organise and manipulate. We hate to wait. We are hard of hearing. We are impatient to see results. […]
That was a very refreshing round of praise and worship we enjoyed last week, as we basked in God’s goodness and the salvation He prepared in Jesus Christ. There is now no more condemnation (Rom 8:1)! We know that whatever happens now, we are not alone, for Christ […]
I really hope at this point you have shed off that dead weight called PRIDE and given up trying to be worthy of God’s grace, and humbled yourself to ACCEPT it and be grateful for it. Now keep your eyes on Him who has called you…who has prepared […]
