“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths” (Prov 3:5).
Our walk of faith requires that we must always trust in God (that means we believe Him). You will be tempted to doubt again, but you must counter it with faith. If there were no propensity to doubt, then there would be no need to exercise faith. But we are told that “the righteous shall live by faith…” (Rom 1:17).
There are two types of children. Children of Adam (which we all were by birth) and Children of Abraham (who we become by faith). The Spiritual Children of Abraham are the Chosen Ones of God. They are the heirs of the blessings of Abraham through Jesus Christ (Gal 3:29). They are the ones who will inherit the Kingdom of God.
If we doubt God’s words, we show ourselves to be Children of Adam, who doubted and disobeyed God, when he and Eve listened to Satan in the Garden. We show that we too are carnal. But the carnal mind cannot comprehend the things of God nor inherit the Kingdom of Heaven (Rom 8:6-8, 1 Cor 2:14)…
