“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Rom 5:8).
Do you think that God loves you more than He did when you were still in your sins? Do you think that He loves you more than those who are still in their sins? Do you suppose that God loves you more than some other Christians who do not walk as closely with Him? Does God love you more because you are more righteous than them? Could God show a greater love to you than He did on the Cross?
My answer to all these things is nay. Not at all! God’s love for you is from everlasting to everlasting. He loved you before the foundations of the world, and will love you as fervently, even after the world is no more. This is unconditional love. It was not because of anything you did to deserve the love that you have God’s love. He offers this same love to everyone through Jesus Christ…whether they accept it or reject Him.
However, as someone who has responded to God’s love by drawing near to Him, you will FEEL His love…
