The Spotlight: On Listening, Surrendering and Rejoicing

Hi Dear Readers,

I hope you enjoyed the three posts I shared with you last week!  If you missed them, you can click on the category The Spotlight, to read them all.

This week’s posts deal with our prayer life, worship and appreciation of God.  Are we truly communicating with God if we are not listening?  Can we truly surrender in worship if we are so conscious of ourselves?  In all our troubles, can we appreciate that God is good and let our sufferings bring Him glory?  These posts challenge us to have the right perspective; to be children who listen to their Father, who are uninhibited in worship and jubilant in all things.

Please read and be blessed, and be kind to share and drop a comment for the authours!

1. THE DISCIPLINE OF SILENCE by Tyler Ramsbey

Do not be hasty to speak, and do not be impulsive to make a speech before God. God is in Heaven and you are on earth, so let your words be few.” – Ecclesiastes 5:2

2. COME ON NOW, RAISE THEM HANDS by Patrick Hawthorne

3. A HEAVEN’S EYE VIEW (WHEN YOU’RE FACING TRIALS) by Tahlitha Chadwick

17For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison,18as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:17-18

Bombs away. And God loves you. Seems hard to believe, right?
