The Church Girl – EV22 #OneChanceReplay

AVAILABLE TO MEMBERS AND PATRONS ONLY

When Ifeanyi got to Ijeoma’s house, the sun was just going down.  He was surprised to see Ijeoma, Emeka and Mrs Njokwu outside their home crying.  As he approached them, the door opened, and Mr Njokwu flung out a few more bags belonging to his wife on their driveway.  Ifeanyi quickly ran to the man before he closed the door.

“Sir, Sir!  Please, what is going on?” he asked, as he took in the scene.

Mr Njokwu didn’t answer him, but shut the door.  Ifeanyi turned to Mrs Njokwu, “Mummy, what happened?”  But she was too hysterical to answer him.  She was just wailing with her hands on her head.

Ijeoma was rocking a crying Emeka, and sobbing quietly.  “Ijay, what happened?” Ifeanyi asked.

“My father is throwing us out of the house!  Apparently, it was something my mother did years ago.  I can’t even understand how he will throw me and his grandson out for what his wife did to him…” Ijeoma responded bitterly.

Ifeanyi didn’t know what to make of her response.  Mr Njokwu appeared again and threw out another couple of bags.   “Ahmed!!!  Come and carry this rubbish out!  And lock the gate!”
