We’ve had repeated arguments
About this thing called ‘masturbation’…
I’ve presented my thoughts
And justified what seems natural,
But my spirit is not succumbed.
It believes in a higher way.
God compels me to rethink each time.
He shows me that masturbation
Is but a brief pleasure…
It does not pay, nor satisfy,
And at often times, leaves not only gas,
But spiritual discomfort and discontent.
And He reminds me that my actions,
Done in the absence of faith are sin.
So I must concede and face the facts.
Masturbation is but a temptation,
And has no place in me…
Lord, help me to exercise control
And put it forever behind me.
