Ifeanyi got home just after 11pm.  He was half expecting to find himself locked out, for his rebellion, but was relieved when he got into his home without a problem.  He fell on his bed as soon as he got in, physically and emotionally exhausted.  He wanted to sleep, but he remembered Mary’s words to pray, and his spirit urged him on to pray.

He’d thought a lot on the drive back, and he could see things clearer now.  He got on his knees, and was quiet for a while, not knowing where to begin.  He had to search his heart, because he wanted to speak sincerely about all he was thinking and feeling.

“I’m sorry, Lord,” he began.  “Please forgive me.   I know it is all about You, but I’ve made it all about me…and my love for Mary.  The truth is that I think I still love Mary more than You…  I know that makes me unworthy of You and unworthy of her.  I really want to know You more, to love You more.  I need Your help, Lord.

“It is easy for me to love Mary.  I can see her, and touch her and hear her voice…
