“I think we’re going to need a bigger size,” Ijeoma said, after they had struggled to fasten the size 8 wedding gown at the back.

Mrs Njokwu frowned.  “Is it me or are your breasts bigger?”

Ijeoma looked up, from admiring the ivory gown, to her mother.  “I don’t know about bigger, but they are definitely firmer!” Ijeoma smiled to herself, admiring her reflection in the mirror.  Her boobs looked delightful in the dress.  If only they had been able to zip it up.

“When last did you get your period, honey?” Mrs Njokwu continued.

Ijeoma thought for a while.  It had been like six weeks or so.  “I don’t know exactly, but it’s definitely due.  Believe me, I haven’t missed it at all!” she giggled, stepping out of the dress and handing it to the Sales Assistant.

“Excuse us,” Mrs Njokwu said to the Sales Assistant, to get some privacy.  “Ijeoma, have you and Ifeanyi slept together?”

“No.  He doesn’t even touch me.  Why do you ask?”

“Well, if I didn’t know better, I’d think you were pregnant.  I guess it’s just delayed because of stress,” Mrs Njokwu sighed.

Ijeoma finally caught on.  She hadn’t even considered that…
