Editor’s Pick: Is God Easily Offended?


God hates sin!  We know this.  We know also that whatever is not done of faith is sin (Rom 14:23).  That is a lot of things we do and take for granted.  As humans, we constantly find ourselves worrying.  This is sin.  Jesus said clearly “do not worry” (Matt 6:25).

We are often told that God cannot abide with evil, so where does God go when His children sin?  Since He cannot abide with evil, and sin is evil.  Sin says we do not believe that He is, that He loves, that He cares or that He can!

Jesus walked with sinners.  He saw their sin even before they committed it.  He saw their hearts were filled with darkness.  But He saw that they needed Him.  So He stayed and showed them the Way…  He went the extra mile and died for them!  And on that Cross, as they mocked Him, He graciously said “Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do…” (Luke 23:34).

God hates sin, but God doesn’t run away.  He expels sin instead.  He delivers His children from the grip of their enemy.  He cares for them…
