Ifeanyi handed in his letter of resignation when he resumed work on Monday.  Unfortunately, due to his high level position, he wouldn’t be able to leave the job for three months or until a replacement could be found and trained, which ever was sooner.  He wasn’t too pleased about that, but he trusted God to work everything out for his favour.

He was happier than he had ever been with Mary.  Life was good.  Somehow they had gotten closer since they reconciled after his infidelity, and he was glad that he had listened to God and confessed.  The lie had been eating him up inside.

Even though things seemed better now, he had no plans of slipping again, not that he would want to…  But he wouldn’t even put himself close to that situation again and risk losing the good thing he had with Mary.  His fall had been shocking to him too, because he had thought he was stronger than that.  He still found Amaka attractive, and he knew he was still vulnerable, so he had to be brutal and cut all ties.
