Jesus, You Are Not Being Loving!

Jesus: “Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.  Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind.  And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.(Matthew 15:13-14).

That’s so rude, Jesus!  How can you call them blind guides, and call their followers blind, and condemn them to fall into a pit?  Doesn’t the Scriptures say to “speak the truth in love…” (Ephesians 4:15)?  We are all brothers and sisters afterall…

Jesus: “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me…” (John 14:6).

Oh, you’re just being egotistical now.  So anyone who doesn’t know you is going to hell???  You really should humble yourself!  Pride comes before a fall you know…(Prov 16:18).

Jesus: “Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.  Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do.  He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him.  When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.  And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.” (John 8:43-44).

Don’t get mad at me, Jesus!  I am just trying to tell you that you should tone it down a little!  There are baby Christians who will not understand what you mean…and I thought you said that God’s will is for all to be saved (1 Tim 2:4)???

Jesus:Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division…(Luke 12:51)

What???  I thought you were the prophesied Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6)??  What are you talking about?

Jesus: “I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I, if it be already kindled?” (Luke 12:49).

Okay…  This is not the Jesus I know…  You, my friend, are an impostor!  Are the fruit of the Spirit not love, joy, peace…(Gal 5:22-23).

Jesus: “Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men” (Matthew 16:23).

***

It is not hard from reading the Gospels to know that if Jesus walked and talked today, as He had done then, He would have been challenged, not only on His doctrine, but His delivery!  Even then, many would not follow Him and even turned from following Him because His teachings were hard and even angry at times!

Yes, He spoke lots about love and grace…  But more than speak of love, He showed us love.  However, when He spoke, He delivered the truth without apology nor quivering for what men might think of Him.

In today’s world, we can’t stand people who speak the truth without sugar coating it!  We are quick to call them “unloving” or “judgmental”.  We are quick to rebuke without listening, judging them as we feel they are judging us.  But we are the ones who lose out.  Not only that, we hinder others from listening to the truth with the filters we use in the name of “grace” and “love”.

The truth is no respecter of persons.  If you will not be broken by the truth and repent of your evil ways, you will be judged and condemned by it!  Let him who has ears hear.

He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day” (John 12:48).

Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?  Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.  And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder” (Matt 21:42-44).

Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance: And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.  And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire” (Matt 3:8-10).
