“How was Church today?” David asked Mary, settling down on his sofa for their daily chat on the phone.  Mary had finally found a new fellowship to call home.  She had been pretty excited about the small Pentecostal Church she had visited just the week before, and this would be her second week in attendance.

“It was great thanks,” Mary replied cheerfully.  “How about you?”

“It was good as usual.  So what was the Sermon about?” David asked.

“The Body of Christ,” Mary answered.  “Pastor John talked about how we all make up the Body of Christ, and about how we are becoming Christ, as each member finds and fulfils their place in the Body.  It was quite inspiring.”

“Ummm…” David muttered.  “We are becoming Christ?  I thought we are the Body of Christ?”

“Yes, becoming.  Like Paul said in Ephesians four thirteen, “until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God, as we mature to the full measure of the stature of Christ“,” Mary replied.  “We are in a process of transformation, being built up to unity.”

“So, what are we…while we are waiting for the other members to ‘find’…
