The Church Girl – The Guardian 6 #OneChanceReplay

AVAILABLE TO MEMBERS AND PATRONS ONLY

It had been a month since he had submitted his notice, and Ifeanyi was still at Solomon Investment Bank.  A replacement had been found, but he was still on his first week of training.  After he had completed his first month, and Ifeanyi had handed over everything to his care, then he would be free to leave.

Mr Solomon had called him into his office to enquire about his decision to leave.  He had simply said he wanted to learn his father’s business.  Mr Solomon had nodded and wished him well, expressing his sadness at his departure.

There was a familiar knock on the door.  Ifeanyi had come to know that knock and dread it.  He never needed to say “Come in” any more.  She usually just let herself in moments after knocking.

“Hey, gorgeous!  I’m back!” Amaka announced gleefully, walking towards his desk to give him a hug.  “You missed me?”

Ifeanyi’s heart raced in a slight panic.  After the three recurrent dreams, more like nightmares, he had had about her since her wedding, he wasn’t going to take any chances.  He wouldn’t even give her an inch, because he knew she would surely take a mile!
