Lord, in obedience to You,
I try to love others like myself.
I desire to do what You do.
Show compassion to the weak,
Give bread to the needy,
And hope to the oppressed.
I seek to love as You love Me,
But my self often gets in the way.
I get tired and weary.
I get needy and fussy.
I get annoyed and angry.
I get selfish and moody.
In all my good works and stress,
I am more aware than ever
That I am need Your righteousness!
I need Your strength to love…
