Lola woke up in Bolu’s arms, stirred awake by a ray of golden sunlight on her face. It was a beautiful Wednesday morning, and the lovebirds had slept in late. She lifted her head up to see that Bolu was already awake and had been watching her sleep. She smiled at him. “Good morning, love.”
“Good morning, sweetheart. How was your night?” Bolu asked, as he pulled her up for a cuddle.
“Absolutely wonderful. And yours?”
Bolu kissed her, and spoke softly. “Perfect. I dreamt of you…”
Lola raised an eyebrow. “Really? What about?”
“It was strange. We were walking in a park… It was just us. Then this little girl came up to you, and held your hand, and then there was three of us. You carried her, and we sat down for a picnic together like a family. Then you were carrying a baby. It was so strange…”
“What do you think it means…?”
“I don’t know. Maybe we should consider adoption? Do you think we’re ready to have a child?” Bolu said, looking with longing at Lola.
“I don’t know. I don’t think we’ll ever feel ready…
